Confidentiality:

The confidentiality between us is legally protected. Information can only be received or released with your written permission. Exceptions include: 1) if there is a reasonable suspicion of abuse/neglect of a child, elderly, dependent or disabled person; 2) if you may be in danger of harming yourself or another person; 3) as required by a third-party to obtain reimbursement; and 4) as otherwise ordered or required by law. This does not cover every possible exception. I keep confidential records of each session.

 

Insurances with Talkspace:

​Please visit https://match.talkspace.com/flow/132/step/100  Here you can check to see if your insurance is accepted and if you wish to proceed you should follow one of  the links. Should anyone else be matched with you as a provider, decline and contact customer support at 888-846-4821 between 9am and 5pm EST. You can give them my name and my provider ID # 4193345 and tell them you would like to work with me. For those who can use Talkspace with your insurance, it is preferred that you transition there. For those who cannot use Talkspace, I will do my best to keep you in my schedule but there may be a time where I cannot manage it. If that time comes, I will do my best to help you find a therapist that will be a great fit for you.  I certainly do not want to retire, but have to better manage my schedule and transition to Talkspace will help me with that.

Cancellations:

Once we decide to work together, I reserve a time for you. You may be billed if you miss without canceling or cancel with less than 48 hours notice.

 

Rights of Treatment & Alternatives to Treatment:

In the event you feel treatment is not going the way you would like it to be going or you feel you need to make change, please do not hesitate to discuss this with me.  I would rather help you make a seamless transition to a different provider than to have you dissatisfied.

Emergency Services:

In an emergency or immediate crisis, contact the police (911), other crisis services or go to your nearest emergency room.
